Ammonium Hydroxide (Aqua Ammonia) covered by this specification will be furnished in one grade and the following two types:
Type A (26o Baumé)
 29.4% Minimum NH3 by weight
30.0% Maximum NH3 by weight
Type B (25o Baumé)
 25.0% Minimum NH3 by weight
27.9% Maximum NH3 by weight

Appearance - Colorless and transparent, free from suspended matter or sediment.

NOTE: When performing assay tests, sample containers and contents shall be cooled to between 5oC and 10oC and maintained at this temperature to prevent the loss of ammonia gas when opening and transferring for analysis. all transferring shall be done as quickly as possible.
